When you apply this concept to your money, playing above the line is the opposite of being “normal“. Normal (or average) with finances in the good old USA is living paycheck to paycheck, drowning in credit card debt, carrying student loan debt for 10-15 years, having car payments or worse lease payments for at least 5 years, having no savings for college and no savings for retirement. The normal person looks to Washington to rescue them from their financial mistakes (and we all have made them). Normal says: “it can’t be done”, “there is no way out”.

Al aplicar este concepto a tu dinero, jugando por encima de la línea es lo opuesto de ser “normal”. Normal (o promedio) con las finanzas en nuestro país, es vivir de cheque a cheque de pago, estar ahogado en deudas de tarjetas de crédito, cargar deudas de préstamos estudiantiles por 10-15 años, tener pagos del auto o peor pagos de arrendamiento por 5 años o más, no tener ahorros para la universidad de tus hijos y no tener ahorros para la jubilación. La persona normal confía en el gobierno en Washington para el rescate de sus errores financieros (y todos los hemos cometido). Normal dice: “no se puede hacer”, “no hay salida”.
